Russ Turner is a Michigan-based photographer and visual artist known for cinematic fantasy portraiture, dramatic lighting, and painterly storytelling. Drawing inspiration from mythology, gothic aesthetics, classic fantasy art, and decades of sci-fi and comic culture, his work blends atmosphere, character, and emotion into richly styled imagery.

Russ has taught photography workshops at Shutterfest focused on fantasy concepts, portrait lighting, and creative techniques that encourage photographers to experiment, break rules, and develop their own visual voice.
