Heather Kallhoff describes herself as “pretty low key”. However,
you’ll find this multiple national award winner anything but ordinary in her
style and creativity. She is also the owner and creator of Orange Peel
a divorce resulted in her moving from a large studio and atrium to a smaller
commercial location, Heather was faced with losing her creative sets and
shooting areas. Determined to keep that alive for her clients and studio, the
idea of paneled peel and stick backgrounds was created! Orange Peel Backgrounds
grew quickly, and her unique textures, doors, and urban scenes changed the landscape
of how backgrounds were viewed and used. Those original designs are now
available, and new designs are still being created and released under the name
of Orange Peel Backgrounds, but now are found at ACI’s BackgroundTown!
award-winning photographer, Heather Kallhoff has been photographing and
creating digital art for nearly 23 years. She
has been active in the photography world traveling extensively educating other
photographers in the areas of creativity and Photoshop. Heather’s creativity
behind the camera may possibly be surpassed only by her savvy in front of the
computer. Her storytelling approach to wedding and portrait photography has
earned her Photographer of the Year awards, Fuji and Kodak awards across the
Northern Light Region, as well as in the National and International arenas, a
National Top Ten Wedding album, Best of Images Fine Art winner, and most
notably the Silver Award in Orvieto, Italy.
Heather resides in western NC with her husband and dogs. She is
still creating art; photography, silversmithing, and traveling internationally
with her work.
